Oh poo! I missed the deadline. Yesterday was my birthday, and I was busy all day, and missed the deadline. I'll enjoy reading though!

This year, I'm going to make a gift in a jar of homemade hot chocolate mix with chopped up peppermint candy canes, making it homemade peppermint hot chocolate. I received this as a gift one year, and it was SO yummy!

I'll make up labels on the computer with candy cane border that says peppermint hot cocoa, and the instructions. And I think I'm going to buy some candy cane type of material if I can find it to cut out squares, and tie with ribbon to the top of the jar. I've been saving my jars!

Thanks for the offers. I really don't want to pay postage, KWIM? That always deters me on eBay purchases.

I was just surprised how hard it was to find...I even went to the Barnes and Noble. I was in Altoona, PA, but hit a lot of shops and didn't see it. I thought maybe I had the wrong info...my MIL was convinced I had it all wrong!

I'll check my local JoAnn's, Mary Chris...but if you do see an extra one, please keep me in mind and let me know.

No, I haven't found one. And my shopping days are limited, at least for a little while. We were out of town a week and I have no groceries, but because I injured my right (driving foot), I'm a bit housebound. Fortunately, it's not broken, but the doctor said the bone was badly inflamed and might take 2-3 weeks before completely healed.

I'm just still scratching my head as to why B&N, Michael's, JoAnn's, AC Moore, grocery stores all didn't have this magazine in Altoona, PA? I hit a lot of stores up there!

thanks, Rachel! I'll be checking out my BN and Borders in a few days. And if I get down to Richmond anytime I'll be sure to PM you first so we can meet up.

I'm really itching to go to Williamsburg to see the Christmas decorations. I know I could do a day trip...lot of driving, but it's doable. We'll see. I always think I can do more in December but it doesn't always pan out.
