Oh, don't worry, Christine. I just know they will be. Have peace.
Keep that little baby monitored throughout whatever you choose. My preemie almost didn't make it through the pitocin induced-labor---his heart rate kept coming to an almost standstill, and they were minutes from a C-section. We prayed to Padre Pio for a miracle, and I went from 3 to 10 with his head "right there" according to the astounded doc in about 5 minutes (and it was a little head). The cord was wrapped around his thigh, up under an arm, around his neck.....he was totally twisted up and the cord kept being compressed. Thanks be to God, my "miracle child" is here and with us. It ultimately is all God's Will--- the outcome of our pregnancies--- as you know I know...! ....but continue to PRAY and maybe, start a novena to Padre Pio?. Have a blessed, peaceful weekend.

Thank you for all the input. Please keep my baby in your prayers. I am scheduled for an external version on Friday, December 15. If all goes as planned, I will be monitored for an hour and then sent home. If not, I will have an emergency c-section. My little one has been unable to turn because the placenta is in the way. Although my doctor assured me that the likelihood of complications is minimal, he also told me that the position of the placenta raises the chances that I may need an emergency c-section.
Nina, you have been in my thoughts and prayers.

I am just seeing this thread now, Christine, and I haven't even gotten to read the whole thing. Have you considered acupuncture? I've heard that it is very effective in getting baby to go head down.

Thank you for the recommendation and prayers.
I made a big mistake. I was supposed to go to the hospital this morning, December 8. When the doctor left the office, he said he was going to schedule it for next week. When he came back in, he said it was scheduled for Friday and I didn't think twice that he meant next Friday. The external version (turning of the baby) is now scheduled for Monday, December 11. I would have preferred today for obvious reasons.
Please keep praying for the baby.

My prayers are with you.
I would like to add my own experiences. I had a vaginal birth with my first child, no problems other than lots of blood loss and very low hemoglobin. 15 years later I was finally blessed with a second child. I had a great pregnancy until 1 week after her due date when I had placental abruption and was rushed to the hospital and had an emergency C-section. It was a rough experience, but my daughter made it and is now 7! And then 5 years ago I was blessed with child number 3, and was not given an option. The only hospital we were close to said a VBAC was out of the question and I had to have a C-section. Again, everything turned out just fine.
I don't feel like a failure for having had C-sections. I am so blessed to have 3 beautiful and healthy children, that the way they were born is not as important to me as the fact that they are here with me.
I'll be praying for you to have a wonderful outcome.

I knew I could count on your prayers. As I got ready to go to the hospital this morning, I told my husband that I was feeling a lot of pressure and thought that the baby might be turning. When the doctor arrived at the hospital, he found that the baby had definitely positioned himself (or herself) correctly. Thank you so much for your prayers and words of wisdom.
Love in Jesus, Mary and Joseph,

We are so happy for you - continue praying for a safe and happy delivery - but so glad that one worry is now behind you. Also offered some prayers of thanksgiving.

Praise God for your wonderful news!!!
Sorry to jump in like this, but I thought I would throw out a quick "for what it's worth" -- I've had 6 c-sections (had to!), and they really aren't that bad... I promise!
