Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

KC, I am so sorry. Prayers for the repose of Dave's soul, and for his wife and dear baby.

Kym, prayers for your son's Godfather, and for his family and you all.

Jackie, prayers for Chris' safety!

Prayers for all who have family and friends serving our country. For all the military. St. Michael, protect them.

God Bless,
Stacy in MI

Thank you to everyone. It's been a hard couple of days. My husband, Ben, was scheduled to be Dave's escort back to the States, but was bumped. It bums me out. He missed his memorial service there, but I'm sort of glad because that would mean he would have been out of the safety zone (he would have to either fly or ride with a convoy). That's too much danger for me. Anyway, I've decided to go to the funeral with the kids. I don't quite know what I'll do with them, but I think something will happen and a babysitter will emerge (as I am praying to God). The funeral will be in North Carolina and I plan on driving. Oh, my--any pointers, Lissa?

Anyway, thank you so much for your prayers. I know that Michelle, Dave's wife, is comforted by them.
