Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Elizabeth,
Wow, what a beautiful story! I just have to ask about "Alice's painless births". Tell us more!
Whenever I need to be reminded how worth it every moment of morning sickness is, I click over and look at your beautiful baby girl.

Elizabeth - I got all tearful reading your story and your blog. I have always been terrified of a repeat c-section and post-partum recovery - and your stories have helped. I have bookmarked the Earth Mama site - products look great.

Your family is wonderful and such a great example to others. My kids looked at the pictures on your blog - and they are even more eager for more siblings.

Blessings and prayers for a good recovery

Marilyn

What a great birth story Elizabeth!!! I'm so happy that everything went so well.
My 2nd child (dd) was born sunnyside up. She got stuck breifly on the way out. I had no idea that this could cause problems and delays durring birth until you said so.
I'm getting ready to deliver in a couple of weeks. If it's not to weird to ask... what kind of gymnastics did you have to do to get her to turn? I'm trying to arm myself with information because my dr. is wonderful and leaves me alone... but he ain't no midwife

prayers and blessings for you and little girl!
Alison

All of our babies have been posterior or transverse during labor and turned before birth - some at earlier points than others. Being upright was the best for me and I was upright for all of labor until pushing. With one baby that just seemed to be stuck and wouldn't drop, I actually reached and lifted up my stomach (my muscle tone is very poor) and that finally did the trick after 5 hours of pushing. (the rest of the labor was immensely short so I thought I'd have a really short labor - surprise). Anyways this was our 11 pounder so that might make a difference too.

I'm not Elizabeth so hope you don't mind me chiming in. I'm sure she'll have lots more ideas.

Janet
