Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Here's another article:
Pope will Broaden Use of Latin Mass

Oops! Edited to read "Latin Mass" instead of "Catholic Mass"

I guess our parish is somewhere between A and B. Some weeks more A and some weeks more B. At one point our parish priest was very A (so A that I went elsewhere for several years). He was followed by one who was very B, and the current incumbent is somewhere in between.

Hey Kathryn... do you use St. Mary's? We used to go there, but Mum and Dad decided they were way too A... when they switched to the little one closer to them (in the village)

Hmmm...we're part of the "contemporary" music group at our "traditional" parish. The beautiful old church has just been saved from a modern expansion (unfortunately, by a diocesan study that determined we'll only have 1 priest to serve four 2,000 family parishes by 2012). We have a tabernacle, candles, a lovely Divine Mercy picture that's got to be 3x4', traditional statues, etc. Everything's traditional about our liturgy except some of our instruments and some of our songs. (Our new director is heading us toward a more classical direction...I'm looking forward to finding out more about his vision.)

Having said that, I know my husband would love to attend Latin Mass fairly often (we used to go once in a while to a parish in the next county, when we lived there before). Everyone in our family enjoys the beautiful Latin language. We're trying to raise our family in the full richness of our faith tradition...to me, that means blessings of homes, religious art, all kinds of lovely Catholic music, and a school year built around the liturgical year.

We're blessed to be part of a parish that celebrates our traditions (evening adoration, a very pro-life, pro-mission attitude, a pastor who's not afraid to say that some of the Church's teachings are not in sync with American culture, and who acknowledges that this is a difficult path for many, but a necessary path). My only real complaint is with the RE office, and I still feel that they're being pushed in a particular direction by an interpretation of diocesan policies that could easily lean another (more pro-parent) way. Life could be way, way worse.

Interesting poll...I think we fit in between the cracks somewhere.
