Wow! You all are so wonderful to keep me and my family in your prayers. There were a few times in the hospital when I really needed prayers, and I could literally feel people praying for me. This is an incredible group and I'm so thankful for all of you.
We are so happy to have Veronica in our little family. She's so tiny yet so perfect--I am in awe of our Father every time I look at our sweet baby. Nothing short of a miracle. She's absolutely beautiful--soft, warm, pink (now), fuzzy skin. A good head of dark hair, dark eyes, long fingers and toes. And oh, that baby smell...heaven on earth!
Having Veronica has been an overwhelming experience, but positively overwhelming. I'm humbled by all of the prayers and support I've received. From prayers to visitors to hospital support to my dh really stepping in and taking over at home, my kiddos taking care of each other and especially their response to having a new sister. They adore her in a way that I couldn't ever describe in an email. They love her so much. My two year old son has surprised me the most--he's so gentle with her. He loves to hold her, kiss her, hug her and in any way just to be near her. He's a pretty active, loud, rough-and-tumble kid and this is a side of him I've never seen. Didn't know it even existed until 6 days ago. I'm so blessed by my husband, children and all of our family and friends. God is so good.
The surgery went great--just one short spot of unexpected pain, but it went right away with no lasting effects. Recovery went better than usual. Thankfully, I'm not as reliant on pain killers as I have been in the days following my other surgeries. My doctor said my insides all looked good--hardly any scar tissue and just some slight thinning of my uterus that is normal anyway. He even brought up future pregnancies! I am so blessed with a great doc.
The nurses in the hospital were terrific. There are 5 or 6 homeschooling nurses there! All the staff applauded our "big" family (although we don't really consider ourselves big yet ) and I've had several people comment to me that they wish they'd had more children.
I know this is very disjointed, but I was so inspired and overwhelmed by all of your responses that I wanted to respond quickly. My dad emailed a few pics to me, so I'll see if I can't get them to Elizabeth and maybe she can post them for me. I can never figure those things out .
Thank you all, again, for all of your prayers.

Molly,
Thank you so much for sharing about your birth experience, initial family moments with your brand new member, and giving us a glimpse into your heart. It was a joy to wake up, check my mail, and find this good-news post.
May God continue to bless you and your beautiful family. May she eat and sleep well, and may your children find great joy in her, but give you some peace and quiet too!

I just heard from Molly. She's not doing well. The incision is infected and she's really worried about recovery now and the implications for later. She asked me to post a prayer request to you all. She doesn't even feel well enough to get online. Please storm heaven for her.
