Hi Families,
I have a small request.
It seems my children are really missing Steve these past couple of days. Everyone is more sensitive than normal and grouchier than usual. He was gone for 32 days then home for 5 and he's been gone 7 and we don't know when he'll be back with his new schedule...
I'm off to take them to get a bite to eat because I'm not feeling well on top of it.

Praying, Maria...BTDT (actually I'm there now, including a 4:00 AM wakeup to take my mother-in-law to the airport)...it's great that you recognize the cause of your children's grouchiness.
May I suggest extra playtime, when you're feeling up to it? A jaunt to the park perks up most kids...

This is not a small thing! I absolutely can not control it all if Daddy is not here. I unravel and morph into marshmallow-mode and things start to degenerate. The fact that you are doing so well having him gone so much proves how strong you are. BUT I'll pray for you anyway!! Ha. And the kidlets.

It's totally funny you mentioned marshmallows in your post.
Last night, on the phone, Juliana said to Steve, "I love you more than I love to roast marshmallows."
We got back from breakfast, did some journalling and now I'm going to put a movie on and kick back on the couch.

Thanks everyone....
All 4 kids are in my room right now...two in the bed and two on the floor. They all just needed Mommy!
God Bless them...
Steve might be home this weekend...please pray for that.
Right now, I'm feeling the stress because last night, before we fell asleep, myself and the 3 girls had meltdowns - my dd, Sophia - hysterical tears, even!...Joe Max was already asleep. I'm bothered because I could have handled it better and I didn't. I did apologize to the girls before we fell asleep, but still...
Today, we have a little engineering class we're taking and then we'll be home.
