My youngest son is having an hour-long speech evaluation today. If you could say a little prayer for us, I would so appreciate it! He tends to not do well in evals. (and I am trying not to be nervous because he senses that). I am also hoping this therapist, whom I've never met, will be good with him. Thank you!

Praying...Dawn...The therapists know how to make it fun or they know that they won't get too far with the little ones. My son was evaluated through Child Find last year. It took three separate sessions one being in my home, he was so bashful and gestured through me to communicate to others. He was 3 yrs then.

Oh, all you dear friends, thank you for your prayers. My day did not end up going as planned.  As it turns out, we have to reschedule ds's evaluation.
My cat who has been sick the past week (and had an appt. for Friday) had to be put to sleep this morning.  It was an emergency situation - right after breakfast he started yowling in pain and could not walk so I had to rush him in (cancelling the eval) and have him put down. The boys are crushed.
We'll be rescheduling the evaluation asap and I will let you know when it will be. Thank you again for your prayers - just knowing you were all praying made me so much calmer (and stronger) this morning.

I just got a call back from the therapist's office and, thankfully, they were very understanding and can see ds next Wednesday morning instead.

Thank you everyone for your support. Ds's speech evaluation is this morning at 10 a.m. He seems to be in a good, relaxed and chatty mood, so hopefully that will carry over into the eval later this morning!
