We will add your son to the list of those we will be praying for on that day. We know many young people flying home from co-working, missionary programs, and test-your call programs on that very date. We will pray for your whole family Elizabeth.

May his holy guardian angel surround him and protect him from all sin and evil, sickness and accident. And may our Blessed Mother wrap him in her mantle of love and protection as he travels away from home.
This is my prayer for my children when I am away from them. Our Blessed Mother and their guardian angels have never failed me...
We will certainly keep praying!

Cling tightly to the 7 Sorrows and OL of Fatima.
August 22 was formerly the Feast of the Immaculate Heart and still is in the 1962 Missal for the Traditional Mass. Her Immaculate Heart will help you and your family. Both Feasts are Glorious and God will Triumph!!
Cloth him in Medals, Scapulars, Blessed oil, water--or whatever holy items would be inconspicuous. Get him the "blessing before traveling" from a priest.

Elizabeth,
I am writing this down now, in my new Catholic Women's Daily Planner!, so I can pray for your ds for his whole trip.
My dh calls me "PW," short for "professional worrier." Our ds, 15 yo (also named Michael,) flew to Texas for a basketball tournament in April. I was worried! Fearful. I prayed constantly. I asked St. Michael to add his protection. Read the Psalms. I prayed Rosaries, and then I had to trust. I don't care how old our children get, they are so precious and our love for them is unmeasurable, well, you all know what I mean.
I will pray for his safety during his whole trip, and for him to do well and have fun! And for your peace of mind.

I will definitely pray for Michaeal's safety. I have the same kinds of fears myself with Dave working in NYC. Earlier this week I floated the idea of moving to Iowa, a place people don't seem anxious to fly planes into buildings or drop bombs on.
He isn't going for it.
