Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Congratulations and welcome to the new wee littles!

I'll be praying for your recovery. Meanwhile, as has already been said, enjoy that babymoon!

I had been thinking about you during the time when we were in Vermont and when we were having our computer problems; I knew you must have had those babies! They're so big!!

I felt the same way when I had to give up nursing my babies, but mine have done really well with bottlefeeding. Now you might be able to get (a little) more sleep, though, and undoubtedly that will help you recover faster. My older kids and my husband love being able to help feed the babies, too. My husband was always in favor of nursing, but he tells me that he feels a special bond with the twins because he has been able to feed them. So where one opportunity ends, another begins.

My family will keep you in our prayers! Get as much rest as you can (you will probably learn how to sleep sitting up with a bottle in your hand) and enjoy those little ones!

Thank you dear friends, Dave and I are so touched by your prayers and congratulations. When Bridget and Sean are old enough to read all of the twin threads I have printed out and tucked in their baby books they are going to see how welcomed they were from all over the world by all of you amazing moms.

Mary Ellen, I've been looking all over for your news, why I didn't think of this part of the forum first, who knows!!
Anyway, I'm so glad that they have arrived safely!!! What a nice healthy size both of them are. You did a great job nourishing them!
Many prayers going out for your improved health! I would be disappointed about the nursing too, but as others have said, the siblings will be a grear help with feedings. With your loving family, they are bound to get much loving and cuddling.
Congratulations to you all!

Dear Mary Ellen,
I was so happy to hear your news--what big babies you nurtured under that heart of yours! What a blessing you are to them. You've chosen beautiful names. I'm continuing to pray for you and for them. Enjoy your babymoon and please send pictures to all the aunties soon. We're eagerly anticipating seeing those little darlings. (They're lucky we're not there to pinch cheeks in true Italian auntie style )!

Congratulations Mary Ellen and all of the Barretts!

May you have a quick and complete recovery and may God bless those twins with the wonderful Irish names.

(From the mom of another Bridget!)
