I figured as long as I am looking around at messages, I would put in a quick plug for a prayer:
We will see the doctor in the morning, 8:45 pacific time.

rained really hard all night.......actually ended with a sunny evening, and a joyous visit with our ccm friends :)

Praying and looking forward to an update.
Our May Crowning was simple and lovely. The children did a fine job of arranging the whole thing  . It was special to include our prayer intentions. Devin is especially praying for Anne (Anne with an "e" just like Anne of Green Gables, Devin pointed out admiringly.)

Angie, please tell Devin my Anne LOVES being Anne-with-an-E....and thank her epsecially for her prayers. You know, if Devin would like to correspond with Anne-with-an-E via email............Anne seems to be called by God to exchange correspondance with young girls. It is very sweet the way the young girls feel compelled to write to her  .........she has a young girl in Arizona, the oldest of seven who is so attached to her
in the meantime: here is our update:
Well, I took Anne to our local doctor. He feels pretty strongly that it is carpal tunnel syndrome..........which surprised us, as it does not totally match the picture of the usual CTS. She DID test positive for the CTS office tests they do. So, he has her in splints and taking ibuprofen for two weeks (and you know how hard that is here......as we usually try to avoid all those OTC meds)............he says if there is no improvement in that time, it probably is not CTS........and then we will do some blood tests and followed by nerve conduction tests. The thing that bothers me most is that her feet began cramping about two weeks ago, too. I am hoping that is pretty meaningless and maybe she is just on heightened alert because she is paying close attention to her hands :)
So, please dear friends, keep praying! Let's hope it is CTS and then we can go from there. Her piano teacher says that even those who have CTS can go on to become concert pianists! She is so relieved to hear that!
She usually has good spirits. Right now she is trying to figure how to approach her education and keep it high, without using her hands :) She had very lofty goals for this year........and is unable to fulfill many of them, due to the hand pain. Please pray to Saint Thomas Aquinas for her.
This means lots of reading, no piano playing, though she is focusing very hard on piano theory. She still keeps her piano lesson, covering an hour of theory each week. This will help her to prepare for college.
Thank you so much for all of your prayer help.........we can feel the prayers. We have appreciated all of the sweet concern and the emails.

Something new has come up related to the curing of Anne's hands. Would you please pray that we can follow God's will in this? It just so seems to be the answer to our prayers......and practically handed to us by God....more details after we look into it more......thanks

well.......we are looking into the possibilities. We have spoken with our friend, who is a chiropractor. He will call us back tomorrow. Just on the phone he was able to rule out a few nasty things.......including carpal tunnel syndrome (what my heart was kind of telling me anyway)
The problem is: he lives at least 6 hours from us. So, we will have to depend on friendship to find us a place to stay......and, hope that he can help in such a short time.
Please keep praying, and know that we continue to pray for all of those praying for us!!
Oh, and also pray for our friend's mother (the chiropractor's mom) who had a surprise heart surgery last week and is doing better, but could use prayers.
You all are absolutely wonderful!!

We will stay in San Francisco.......though I still have not told those friends they are keeping us :)........I know they are going to New Orleans at the end of the month......or early June......and i am not sure what the dates are.
The chiropractor works in Redwood City, I think. I know he lives in Belmont.
Please thank Michaella and her friends for their prayers. I know Anne enjoyed their small email correspondance...........and of course, I recognized her name and location! 
Off to Oregon for the day.........prayers for safety please.....

Traveling for care...brings me back to when I left Elko, NV to birth Ian in Davis, CA. It was worth every effort and yes, we were held up by friends and God made straight our path!
Our prayers continue, Chari. Thanks for the offer to Devin for becoming a penpal with Anne. Devin and Anne have much in common including their connection with younger friends:).

Quick update, as I have lots of packing to do and house cleaning.......
But, our friends in SF are willing to take us in.....so, we will leave tomorrow after a baseball game and piano recital for 4 kids........Anne will miss her first recital in 9 years 
we see the doctor on Monday.......and the rest of the time will be spent with CCM friends, playing on the beach, hiking, visiting an art museum.........anything cheap or free 
Gas will cost enough!! 
(hey, look at the emoticon I FINALLY found a use for!! 
too tired for more.....prayers for safety please......oh, and as we come home to Garrett's, 8yo boy.....testing for his FHC with father the following Sunday.....prayers for that, too
