Not finalized, but looks like June 22-23. |

Whoops - my bad! I saw on Seton's conference schedule page that it was June 8th and 9th but obviously that's not correct.
Well we're shooting for July anyway so there shouldn't be a conflict.

Lots of folks go on vacation the week of July 4, so I'd guess you might get more attendance the weekend of July 14.
I'm onboard!!! Can't wait!!!

July works for me too -- not that I'd be the deciding vote or anything

Maybe not a deciding vote but we would like you to come.
But for now we need a venue and the date often depends on what is available when. Venues are booked WAY in advance so we are working at a disadvantage. I just talked to the place we had last year and the only available date is July 20 and 21 (not horrible but we'd prefer the week before) . . . beyond that their prices have gone up astronomically so we're looking elsewhere.

Michele,
Our homeschool conference is held at a local parrish. I don't know if you have one available, just a suggestion.
God Bless

We're looking into it. The problem is our parishes here are old and in the city. That means a lot of them have no A/C in the areas we would need (a MUST in July) and very limited parking. I would LOVE to have it at my parish so we could end with mass and everyone could see our beautiful church but it really wouldn't work space, parking and a/c wise.
BUT there's a few other possibilities I'm checking.
Thanks for thinking of us.

I was thinking more on this idea and I'm thinking it really would be cool. When I was selling Margot's books at the Denver conference this year I was thinking how many more would have sold -- and they are really good products -- if the attendees had been shown how to use them or what they were. I tried my best to explain Catholic Mosaic and some of the others, but if folks don't come seeking, it's hard to explain them -- you know?
There are so many GREAT Catholic and homeschooling products out there that you just don't know if they're worth the money unless you SEE them. Case in point would be Moira Farrel's Atrium books -- they're expensive and no way of knowing the treasure trove that's there unless you happen upon them in real life.
I really like this idea Michele and would be happy to help any way I can.
BTW, how's that baby and how are you feeling?
Blessings to one and all!

Mary this is it exactly! A truly good vendor workshop is not an infomercial it's a practical and valuable help! Julia Fogassy's workshop at our last conference was on the home atrium and was wonderful. I did a talk on time management. It wasn't simply about how to use my planner but practical help and suggestions on managing your time and how a planner can help (the planner was a VERY small part of the whole talk). As another example I was telling Elizabeth last week that Mary Daly's presentation on The Universe in my Hands at the Milwaukee conference was essential to me in understanding that program and it got me really excited about it in a way that simply looking at the program in a catalog never could have.
BUT never fear people we do have plans for workshops that aren't just by vendors - but I just wanted to make it clear that vendor workshops can be really great!
God bless!
