Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I noticed that several of you are still coming to my blog and column to read my writings. The link Elizabeth provided for my column is now broken.

Here's the one that works:

Julie's Column

Just to clarify:
Brave Writer has always been about protecting the religious perspectives of any students who come to learn to write. I have great respect for homeschooling families and their spiritual values and beliefs and would never undermine them. We've had children participate from multiple religious traditions who've written their views on everything from saints' lives to creationism to pro-life and pro-choice positions. My goal (and the goal of my team) is to facilitate a writer in communicating his or her perspective with the most clarity and power.

About me:
I'm a former evangelical in a Catholic university seeking a Master's in theology. I write my columns and personal blog based on those experiences but they have nothing to do with my teaching families how to write. Of course you must choose the program that leaves you feeling good and at peace inside.

Here's a link to the Brave Writer Values

If anyone needs further clarification, please feel free to contact me. I've enjoyed this forum since the day it opened and read frequently, even when I don't have time to participate the way I once did.

Peace to everyone.
