Thank you for your prayers for us today. Dd's surgery went well, and I felt surprisingly peaceful. She was such a trouper with being put to sleep with anesthesia and everything. She woke up pretty unhappy and her eyes were so sensitive to the light at first that she kept them closed with a wet compress on them until we got home and she had a little lunch. Then she slept all afternoon. She's been a lot better since the long nap. Right now her eyes still don't look perfectly straight, but they are better than they were. One mom I know (who has a child who had this surgery) warned me not to be upset if they didn't look right immediately after surgery because the eyes will continue to straighten in the weeks after surgery. We are hoping that is the case here.
