We're all praying for you and your family, Lissa. Knowing that this will be a huge change and adjustment, but can I just say.......how lucky is the Sanchez family?!?!

Congratulations to your husband on his new job, and God be with you all in the weeks of house-hunting, house-selling, and moving ahead.

We're continuing to pray for you and your family! My girls are so excited that you will be on the West Coast, even if you are about as far south from us, as you can be and still be in the United States. Good luck selling your house. I pray you have safe travels and like your new home (it would be hard not to)!

LOL--let's hope you still feel that way after we start horning in on all your activities!
It softens the blow tremendously to know that we'll have 4Real friends waiting for us on the west coast.

Oh! And! And! More prayers! I forgot to mention that Erin will be receiving her First Holy Communion tomorrow, and (in a rush decision given the suddenness of Scott's looming departure) we're going to have Kelly baptized immediately after the Mass. It was originally planned for late July but Daddy will be in California by then!

Now you're talking! I'm getting more enthused by the minute. :)
(Let us pray this enthusiasm sustains me during the dreaded clean-out-the-basement days ahead...)

Praying for you, Lissa! (And prayers to St. Joseph for a quick house sale.) What an adventure!
We're contemplating a move to Wyoming this summer, so I'm a few steps behind you.
Let us know how things are going...

Oh what an adventure! I know you can do it! I've been in your shoes twice already. New job, cross country move, two weeks moving date.... abeit the five kids wasn't in the parcel but I always had a newborn along. It's fun! It's draining! But it's oh so exciting too! And San Diego is absolutely lovely! Hmmm...SD is becoming more and more attractive next year. Big to you! Praying for you!

Prayers for smooth sailing for all the little details of the move - or at least peace in the midst of chaos.
There a thousands of "opportunities" during the little annoyances that seem to pop up doing this kind of thing - and the seperation (may it be very, very short lived!).
Anyways continued prayers!

I just found the thread, Lissa! I hear good things about San Diego's Catholic culture -- we really enjoyed our one visit there, when Clare and my two younger sons were confirmed a year ago.
Chari, I just told Anne. She came out into the room just as I was typing this, and I couldn't resist.... Had to be the first to break the news and see her face. I am awfully selfish, I know! But you wouldn't have gotten to see her face anyway, on the phone...
All the best to the Petersons! What a big transition! I will be praying.

I just saw the big new, Lissa. I'll pray for you and all the overwhelming details you'll be taking care of in the next weeks/months.
I have to admit to being a bit sad, though. I always liked knowing you were only a few hours away and running into you periodically at local homeschooling conferences.
Blessings to your first communicant and newly baptized little one!

Lissa,
My dear on-line friend! I am praying for you and your famiy -- believe me, I know how it feels to move to an uncertainty!
Know that all of our prayers go with you and as you say, you "have 4 real friends with you"!
Blessings to you all and California is wonderful (althou I sincrely prefer Northern Cal over anything south of Carmel, but it will be wonderful, regardless!

No way! San Diego is paradise!! We know quite a few Catholic families there - you will love it. I am so jealous. Lately I have coined this phrase to explain my heartache for home:
"My beautiful California"
Of course all the things that I hold in memory that make it "my beautiful California" most likely don't exist anymore - but San Diego is definitely beautiful. We'll be praying for a smooth safe move.
God bless
Margot
