I just wanted to let you all know that the new Field Day is up at my blog! 
Thanks to everyone for helping out - your posts and photos were wonderful! They truly reflect the joys of summertime nature. 
Once again this was *loads* of fun to do! I even fiddled around with some stickers and made an "official" Field Day button this time - with techie help from dh. 
Please stop by for a glass of lemonade at our late summer picnic!

Hi everyone,
I'm putting up a post tonight about the next field day (dh is helping me make a button first ) but wanted to let you all know, I tweaked the dates that I mentioned previously in the science fair thread:
Sept. 27 (early autumn)
Nov. 1 (late autumn)
Dec. 6 (early winter)
Thanks! Hope everyone is ready for another nature study carnival!

I will have to set mine to post automatically because we will be out of town between the 21st and 27th. But it sounds great! I will get the link to you as soon as I start composing the post.
Ours will be about Dragonflies! We got some great photos and info at the DragonFly Festival last weekend.

I would like to have any submissions by next Tuesday at the latest, so if you'd like to join in, please send me your details (name, blog name, post link) by then. Any nature posts are welcome - they don't have to be about autumn necessarily. And as always, you don't have to have a blog to join in - just send me your photos or thoughts via email (the link is in my post).

Marjorie, I got your e-mail this morning. Did you have to do anything different after this first failed attempt? I'm just wondering if there's something wrong with the e-mail link I put in my post.
(If anyone else has trouble with that link please let mw know. Also, I cleared out my PM box - finally  - and if that's easier, you can send me your entry that way. )

Dawn,
Your email link is just fine. I just neglected the first two letters of the address by deleting more than necessary. Anyone with more than my measely one operating brain cell will do well. I also sent a link to our local CM group and suggested they visit and or submit something. They have regularly scheduled nature walks in our area and have some great finds they could share. Thanks again!

Oh Dawn!
I wanted to particpate but that's all we have here is dead plants from the vicious heatwave we all had in the summer and some grass that needs to be mowed. 
I haven't updated my blog either.

I just wanted to let you all know I added one more post to Field Day - a beautiful post all about nut-bearing trees by new member Valerie - Valerie, who was a dear and sent me her post nice and early and here I somehow missed it but thankfully found it today. I just added it in and wanted to let you all know so you could take a second look.
Valerie, I am so very sorry. I have tried to be so careful organizing all the posts that come in, but unfortunately I finally tripped up. I am so sorry your lovely post got left out. 
Now, for those of you who use it, would Blog Carnival be a better way to organize Field Day in the future?

Hoo-boy, a public apology as well? My goodness, I'm honored.
Seriously, though, I'm amazed at all these different carnivals and the people who have volunteered to organize them all. I definitely lack that skill.
What's more, the carnivals, especially the Field Days and the Loveliness ones that so many Real Learners have participated in, have served to be so incredibly inspiring. Thanks to all of you, and thanks, Dawn, for including me!
