Please pray for my dd who is 11. I took her to the doctor today for her "well child" check up and we have to go back tomorrow for a blood test. They found sugar in her urine and with other things that have been going on (which independantly didn't seem big) they are concerned she has diabetes. Please pray for her peace as she sleeps tonight and tomorrow as we wait for the results. She isn't a big talker but I can tell she is worried.

Thank you all for your prayers! Jordan did sleep rather well last night and did wonderfully this morning having her blood drawn. I am embarrassed to say she is doing better than I am at this point. After doing my research etc she has 95% of the symptoms - non of them alarming or unusual unless tied together by the sugar in her urine.
I will post more when we have the results - I am planning a busy day to keep everyone distracted.
Please continue to pray.

Thanks again for all the prayers. Our doctor sent us to the hospital yesterday. We spent all afternoon learning about the diabetes and what it means to her. She has accepted the diagnosis and is doing well with all the new tasks she needs to do.
I am thankful for my mil and fil who stepped in to stay at our house and help Kelsea with the little ones.
We were able to stay just one night and bring Jordan home today. We will stay in contact with the doctor by phone and go back next week to meet with the dietician. So far we are very pleased with the team of people we are dealing with.
I guess the next step is to find some good audio books for the long drives to the hospital and back. (It's two hours each way.)

Wendi, more prayers are headed Heavenward from me. I thought about you all day. You sound so calm! I'm glad you have a good medical team to work with.
You must have a wonderful family doctor, because he/she caught the combination of symptoms and put the pieces together in time to really help your daughter.
Perhaps your travel time can also be used to explore classical or world music? (We love international music...I have all kinds of strange CD's...everything from Hawai'ian to Turkish!) We also liked the "Adventures in Odyssey" radio series, which is available on CD. (If you want to borrow the CD I have, PM me and I'll send it!)
