Please pray for Laura, a local hs-er in our community, and dear friends of ours.
She is 7 and has a mystery illness that has kept her with high fevers for 18 days now. She was a very healthy little girl until one day she came down with fever, diahrrea, sore throat.
After days in the hospital, a tonsilectomy, and numerous test, there are no answers. She's been transferred to a nearby Children's hospital, leaving her five siblings to be shuffled around.
They now think its something weird like Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, or Tuleremia (sp?--that thing you get from wild rabbits), or an abcess on her spinal cord, etc, etc. etc. Something unusual.
Pray for answers, so the docs can match the right antibiotic to the bacteria (if thats the problem) and PRAY FOR HEALING! Poor Darling!

At this point they might be suspecting an infection obtained from raw milk. Waiting for lots of testing.
I'll keep you posted. . .

The whole family is going to be praying for Laura and her docs Sarah. We'll pray for healing whatever the diagnosis.

I'll pray for Laura and her family. This prayer request really touches my heart.
It was three years ago this May that my oldest went through something similar. Three weeks in three different hospitals. Being tested for just about everything. No final diagnosis, but an unknown viral infection. She began to improve within a day or so of receiving the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick from my pastor. She just gradually grew stronger. It took a few more months for her strength to fully return and for her to seem completely normal.
Every May, I get a chance to look back and remember where we were. And I am so much more grateful for the blessing of my children because of it.
I pray that Laura's parents receive the same gift.
