Just checking in Jenn to see how things are progressing? I picked up some free Texas Highway magazines at the library that had some articles around the region you are moving. Of course magazines always show the loveliest parts/things of the state but I thought it could lift your spirits to know that yes, there is a bit of beauty here in Texas. 
If you want them, please pm me your address and I'll be glad to drop them in the mail.
We did travel there over Spring Break and agree, from the freeway, that the area you mentioned didn't appear pretty at all. Going further north or back further East to New Braunfels is a good idea just from what I could "see". 
Anyway, hoping things are moving along for you.

Thank you so much for the continued thoughts and prayers, Ladies!
Mark is out there until Good Friday. I've been living somewhat like a tourist, by going to all of our fave places in NC. I've also been visiting places I never had the chance to visit, but now I am!  It really is a beautiful state and I feel so blessed that I had the chance to live here and start to raise our family.
Kathryn, you are so sweet to pick up information for me! It will be interesting to see where we end up. I've been talking with other Catholic homeschoolers and it's helping me sort out where we need to look. The Catholic culture out there seems to be abundant! 
Please continue to keep us in your prayers. We need to sell our home and be with my husband.

Praying! Moving was difficult for me and I only moved 12 miles away  ! I hope your house sells and you are reunited with your husband soon.

Many prayers. San Antonio has four missions that are wonderful places to visit. It is hard to move around as I well know.

Kathryn, I'm so sorry that I missed your post! I would love the magazines you picked up, though if postage is pricey, please don't. I appreciate you picking them up and thinking of me and my family on your travels.
Mark was able to come home for Easter and will be here for some of next week. Our house is still on the market and we're just having to wait for now. Patience is a huge practice of ours, right now.
