Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

More prayers going up now on this end. Thank you so much for the updates, Fuzzy. I am sorry to hear about the pain and the racing heart.

Tell Jenn we miss her so much around here and can't wait until things are back to normal (when only things like a rare OOP book will make her heart rate go up!)

Monday update: Jenn had some AFibs (the heart is racing, I think) on Saturday, which the doctors were able to calm and slow down the heart rate. The doctors said it was normal, and were not worried, though it was scary and exhausting for Jenn. Unfortunately, she has had more today.   Asking for some prayers today to help her through this ad to find a solution.

From her DH: Jenn is having a rough day. Another bought with Afib after they gave her a medicine for an echocardiogram that makes the heart race. Afib means back on IVs and all the tethering. Internal and external pain was higher this AM. They got that somewhat controlled now . These pain meds are harsh and cannot be used continually so you have to switch them around.

Please say some prayers for her.

I'm really grateful to you for keeping us updated, Fuzzy, and will definitely step up my prayers for Jenn!

Praying for you and thinking about you a lot, Jenn. I know it can be frustrating when you think you are on your way home, but then not. I pray everything settles down quickly and that you are feeling much better soon.

God bless you!

When I've been in a lot of pain, I've imagined myself holding on to the edges of the Blessed Mother's dress. It may sound strange, but it gives me comfort to know she's there. More prayers for Jenn.

Continuing prayers! While it's so disappointing for homecoming to be delayed, may you find consolation in knowing these complications are being dealt with now, rather than having the possibility of a setback after returning home, thus facing the chance of being rehospitalized. We had a similar course of events after dh's heart surgery ~ things resolved themselves in just a couple extra days. We'll be praying the medical team is able to resolve all issues in a timely manner and that you will together as a family very soon.

Continued prayers for you, Jenn, with love and some empathy re disappointment at a delayed homecoming. I dealt with delays of several days after three out of four childbirths, and it is discouraging when you just want to be out. of. there. and on your way back to normal. But thank God they're dealing with these things now, and making sure all is well before the home journey.

(and congratulations, Donna Marie!)

Sally

Poor Jenn...praying and praying!! It’s so much easier to look back in hindsight with disappointments, especially delays in leaving the hospital (well acquainted with that one ) but it never fails that God’s timing is perfect and brings about good we can’t anticipate, as we walk a bit longer with the cross of staying put in that hospital room. One time, we had a horribly disappointing delay with one of Lily’s surgeries, had packed and cooked for days to stay gone as an entire family at the hospital for several more days....only to have the surgery cancelled and leave at 12am into a horrible snowstorm for the three hour trip home.

I was furious and confused. How could that be God’s Will??? The rescheduled surgery we had a few weeks later......the anesthesiology team that day found the reason Lily had such a hard time tolerating being put under anesthetics. There was JUST the RIGHT people in there that day to solve something that was life threatening....I cried, knowing God had us in His hand the entire time. SO hard though....when you are walking through it.

Big to Jenn!!

We prayed all day Thursday for Jenn - and we are continuing the prayers.

Like others - the words of our Blessed Mother to Saint Juan Diego are what I have thought of and prayed that Jenn would know and take comfort from.
