Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am getting there. Now to impress that upon the boys in the house. None but me receive Communion at this time though.
Hubby is going through conversion and the oldest boy makes his first Communion this spring.

Oh, such a good topic. I greatly prefer to receive on the tongue but I also get sick very easily and when I do it takes months and months to get better. So I "test" out different priests/deacons/EMs and know which ones are able to give without touching my tongue with their finger. The ones who don't, I receive in the hand. Receiving in the hand can still be done VERY reverently and I always inspect my hand for particles. There rarely are any, but if there are I wet the tip of my finger, press it to the particle, and place it in my mouth.
