We got the phone call today, dh has to go in for his test results. It's a little nerve racking as that means they found something. You don't need to go in when everything looks good. Going to be a long time between now and Monday afternoon.
Feeling a little anxious.

well part of the results did come in. His knee cap is not chipped, good news, but he has a torn meniscus, bad news. Good news is he will see the specialist on the 10th, his doctor was really shocked we got him in so soon, this is good news, if it requires surgery, he will needs to see a different specialist... will it ever end?
We are still waiting on the brain MRI. Sometime this week hopefully we'll know.
Dh will have money coming in this week, thankfully, and I get paid again. So we'll be ok another month. With gifts to buy, it will be tight.
OH, we got an offer on the vehicle that go written off, it will cover the new one we picked up(ds paid for it  ) we can pay him back. a 6 day loan. And there will be a little left over to cover us if we are short. The Lord is providing for sure. I got a call, and I will have another child in care for January, so I will be earning a little more. I am exhausted, but losing dh income, is really hard to take. While he is getting money in now, it's not all that much, at this point, about 45%. But it's enough to keep us going, we've modified many things.
Thank you for your prayers! We as you all to continue praying for us, we need them, as his brain needs to heal, the body needs to heal.
We continue to move forward, and together with God's hand in it all, we will overcome.

Next round... dh has an appointment this afternoon for the results of the brain MRI. This makes me anxious! I was hoping for a quick phone call to say results are in and all is good, unfortunately, only good news is shared by phone, bad news requires an appointment.
This is going to be a long afternoon while I wait to hear from my darling on what is going on.

So dh went for MRI results. He didn't say much. nothing life threatening, but he is being referred to a neurologist. He is however, already going to a clinic in December, that has a concussion clinic, so we may be in sooner rather than later. His Doctor is referring him likely somewhere else, but I think we'll try to keep it simple and have him all at one clinic if possible. These guys are top notch. So thankful for specialist, who is actually dd10 friends dad, a firend from hockey and Challenge at their parish. I didn't know that when i talked to him, that he was a specialist, just a Dr IMO, I just wanted to know if he could give us direction to some one who could give a second opinion. And this is what it got us. Proof that prayers do get answered!

Just a few more days, and dh will see the first specialist! This will probably create another appointment, but with a surgeon. Thankful dh is finally going to be properly looked after. He is getting grumpy with the pain and it's not easing up. He doesn't complain much, but you can see it in his face and attitude. He's trying hard, but he's not a happy camper.

Can I ask for more prayers? Dh returned from yet another appointment, and we were given the news that we shouldn't expect dh to return to work before May/June IF that soon.
I'm pretty stressed about that! Thankfully we have various sources for disability, so finances are ok, not an abundance, but we're able to make it, nothing falling behind. However, dh is really frustrated and restless, it's hard on him. Which makes it a little like walking on egg shells some days.
I am very thankful that he is now under the care of a specialist, one that is highly sought after. God sent us a gift in this man, for sure.

Happy Update!
Dh went for more cognitive testing. Last month he was well under average in all areas, and some areas were under the 10th percentile. Not good news.
He did a follow up test this week, 1 month later, and everyone is shocked how well he is doing. Still healing to be done, but those areas that were under the 10th percentile are in the 50th now! Miraculous! The specialist expects that with dh's his chosen profession, he'd be a minimum of the 65th percentile, but with all his evaluations at work being top dog in the company, he'd more likely be in the 80th. So still a ways to go, but this means his brain is on the mend now!
Dr. has also started referral letters and is talking to surgeons personally to fast track dh to get his knee looked at and operated on while he is off. I think dh will be off another couple months, so why not deal with the knee surgery while still on disability(still car accident injury, the knee), and not have to do it all again in 3 months.
Thank you for all your prayers. They are very appreciated.
Please pray that he gets his appointment and we know what is going on. The knee is so painful it keeps him up at night.
