My depression, fatigue, etc. is almost completely linked to two things -- eating foods I'm sensitive to (gluten, soy, sugar from sugar cane and its derivatives) and bad gut flora (i.e. yeast, or candida). I would encourage her to be tested for gluten sensitivity first, and to carefully add the probiotic... die-off reactions can be really bad and often increase the problems you're trying to get rid of for a time.
