Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Is she interested in music? I'm toying with the idea of buying my ds18 a guitar.

Erin, if you buy one, go to a music store to do it...here in the USA it's possible to buy inexpensive guitars in big box stores (like Walmart), but you get what you pay for when it comes to guitars. The super-cheap ones are nearly impossible to tune, which renders them useless.

Well, I got her one big gift - iPad mini (1st version - not the new one cause I paid $100 less for it and she won't care that is isn't retinal display). So then I decided to get a couple little things - an acrylic case to hang necklaces (so cats don't get at them!), little ankle boots from American Eagle. For stocking - pens, leggins, maybe some mineral type foundation - something lite, lip gloss, hair ties and head bands, (did I say my mom made my kids stockings and they are huge), iTunes and/or amazon (for her kindle app) gift cards.

ds 21 was getting tough but then he just found out he has an business internship this summer so I got him a nice looking laptop bag (can't go around with the old college back pack!), an electric razor. And favorite restaurant gift cards (Jimmy johns, chipotle. . . ) for the stocking - guess I may put them in a bigger box to fill the stocking up! Then there is always chocolate for the stocking.

ds 10 - well he is the easy one!!! Can you say - new skylander game (he has been talking, and talking about this game). And also a new board game, and - crayola marker maker (he realllllly wants this!). And his stocking is the biggest of all - really big. I went around target this past week end and got a bunch of little things for it - and I can't even remember what!!!

This wears me out!!! But I WILL be done by December 1st!! Yes, Yes. . . . ? And I WILL WRAP THE STUFF EARLY (I am typing big to convince myself!).

I can't recommend Kevin Heider's new CD enough!

For a limited time he is offering a few of his songs for FREE!!!!. He has included some of my favorites!

All of my family has enjoyed this CD and I am getting the CD for my Brother for Christmas (don't tell!)

My niece will be 14 in a month and she is asking for a sketch book. I would like to get her something nice and pretty. Any one have any recommendations?

My six year old nephew has farm toys on his list . . . . . my boys were never into farm stuff. I'm lost with his wishlist. He likes Little Buster toys and I about fell over when I saw the prices. I want to spend between $15-20.

Duct Tape Warfare books from J. M. Cremps.

Has anyone bought these? My ds loves to make things with duct tape. I'm wondering if he might like this series...

I'm almost done. One gift was on backorder and I've not come up with a replacement yet. Waiting to do some online shopping this weekend.

I got my boys shoes when I couldn't come up with something. One is happy about it and the other wasn't until I took him shopping to pick out what he wanted.

Not well here. Internet is through my phone right now (slow and unreliable) and I haven't been able to go anywhere on my own in weeks. This weekend dh and I hope to do all of it in a one-day shopping blitz while we are at his parents' for the holiday. On the up side all of the kids had gift cards to various places highest on their lists. Not fun shopping, but definitely able to be finished quickly!

I'm trying to think what to put in my almost 8 year old son's stocking.

I've been thinking of putting variety of hair care products in the stockings of his five sisters (ages 15 to 2) as a)they need them and b)they'll have fun with them but then I'd need something different (but ideally with similar appeal) for him.

At my grocery store, I saw spin toothbrushes shaped like light sabers for under $4- your ds might like that. Also, a can of cheap shaving cream from the dollar store is fun for the tub- hours of play time.

My dc always like those little washcloths that expand to full size. Would he like bubblebath? At places like TJ Maxx this time of year you can get tubes of bubble flakes shaped like snowmen or gingerbread men. Sprinkle them into the water aand you get bubbles galore.

That is all within the hygiene realm for stocking stuffers...

The Kultz Foxtail is a way fun gift that could go in a stocking as well.

You'd think it would be easy to catch the darn thing, but you'd be wrong . I tried all Thanksgiving weekend and am still just getting the hang of it. Though I do confess- I just like to watch it fly. You can get some real height with that thing!

ETA: we have the regular one- not the sonic
