KC, you are in my thoughts and prayers, as one military wife to another. Take heart!

KC, I've been praying for you and more today. The holidays were harder for me; I'm sure that's normal. Asking for help is absolutely one of the hardest things to do. I found that I had basically 2 close friends who I absolutely leaned on for the neediest things--emotions, childcare, homeschooling, advice--and presented the brave front to mostly everyone else. One had a deployed husband, one didn't. Over time, I was mostly able to function mostly normally. And we did have wild days with crazy kids and mom together. Those days I used a bit of the deployment money for Mc Donald's playland or Chuck E Cheese or something "easy", unstructured, and time filling. Just remember to keep breathing....

This is me to a T! But I'm getting better at asking for help sooner than later. After my dh, my poor mom and sister get the brunt of my neediness.
How are you doing today, KC? Feel free to lean away here. You are among kindred spirits .
Love,

Oh, I am leaning away here. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. We are doing better this week. School has not progressed as much these two weeks, but I'm okay with that. I needed this down time more than the children did. So, we will start like gangbusters on Monday. We've also kept busy and that has helped a lot. I feel everyone's prayers working at keeping me strong. I truly do feel I am among kindred spirits. Thank you all.
