Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Jenn,
It is absolutely necessary to use life lines when you work with lace!!!!! They will totally save you sanity. I also use them a lot when I am woking on projects, like sweaters, where the directions say....now, knit for 5" for size M or 6" for L or something like that. I put in a life line so I have a visible hard line to measure from.

I have totally forgot about on the of the most awesome features of having interchangeable needles. It helps you put in life lines with ease and elegance. I thread a pieces of crochet thread through the little hole you use to tighten up the needles and knit that row. I am finished knitting that row you have a prefect life line that was easy to add!

Thanks for the reminder Jenn!

BTW, I am so jealous of all of you that can knit in the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH My, Betsy! What an idea!!!! Totally doing that the next time I knit lace.

Here are the projects I'm working on right now:

Abalone Sweater I'm making this for myself in a yarn that was on sale at my Knitting store. So excited but NEVER ENDING rows of stockinette!

Sooooooo, I'm making this for my daughter to add some variety in my life!

Skye Vest The back is a very easy first lace project and I'm making it with Punta cotton yarn so that it is wearable here in our neck of the woods.

And lastly my quick and easy pattern that I just started for my daughter that is chopping off her hair this Saturday:

Jam headband

All of this was to help you Tami realize that you will get it all done and have a variety of knitting projects soon. I've only been knitting for 2 years and WOW has my knitting come a VERY long way!

Just briefly before the boards close….

The trip was absolutely exhausting. I did not work on the sweater because I felt it needed my full attention and a sinus headache + car ride would not be helpful; made a dishcloth instead.

I have finally gotten into it, working on the neckline and raglan increases. I checked the gauge a little while ago and I'm knitting 20 or more stitches over 4 inches! Aaarrggghhhh. Will this thing be huge on me?!?!

I'm approaching the point where I will try it on - now getting a little anxious about that….

Mimi, those patterns look very cool! Thanks for the encouragement. :)

Wound up ripping it all out because I found a couple of mistakes in the raglan part - missed stiches that affected the holes. Near the beginning.

And I'm probably going up to a #9 needle to see if I can get the gauge more true to the pattern.

Learning so much….
