Praying now for Beatrice. St. Peregrine, please beg Jesus to heal Beatrice of her cancer and especially that the cancer has not spread. Continuing to pray for you, Elizabeth, and your whole family.

Thank you all.
We are home now, back in tomorrow (Mon) for a CT scan.
Beatrice has a central line in now ie a tube going in and out of her jugular (?).
I'm not able to sleep more than a couple of hours a night so would appreciate a small prayer for sleep as I've got to keep it together.
We have decided to ask the intercession of Blessed John Henry Newman.

God our Father, you granted to your servant Blessed John Henry Newman

I'm praying right along with you! I've also added Beatrice's first name to our parish list of cancer patients; there's a weekly Rosary for all those dealing with cancer, and she will be remembered in these prayers.

Thank you all.
The CT scan was clear, thank God, ie the cancer has not spread to the lungs.
The cancer has been diagnosed as hepatoblastoma, a tumour growing from the liver.
She starts chemo tomorrow. After 4 rounds of that, she'll have surgery, then more chemo.

That is good news about the CT, thanks be to God.
We are praying here and will continue to do so- for a full cure and especially for the protection of her hearing.

I just saw a new update from Elizabeth on Facebook, and in case she doesn't have time today to drop in here:
1. Chemo is supposed to start today. They were assessing Beatrice's kidneys first to be sure that all was in order before beginning.
2. Her younger son is sick, and they're worried that it might be scarlet fever: both bad for him, and bad from the standpoint of possibly delaying chemo.
I'm offering my day today for these intentions: for healthy kidneys, for no scarlet fever for anyone, and for the timely start of the cancer treatments.
And of course for healing.

I'm catching up with all my reading here...and the prayer requests...but Elizabeth, you and Beatrice and your family have been in my prayers throughout Christmas!

Elizabeth, I'm so very glad to see you here although my heart breaks with you . Thank you for the privilege of being with you and Beatrice and your family.

Thank you, wonderful ladies. Your prayers are deeply appreciated and a source of great comfort to me.
Beatrice has had her first round of chemo and so far has not been sick, thank God.
My little Xavier had a viral rash (we think) and is on the mend. Thank God!
She is currently finishing her post-chemo hydration (also IV) then we can go home, back on 10th Jan for the next round.
