Praying with much empathy Gwen. My own dh underwent quadruple bypass more than thirteen years ago, in his early 40s ~ I thought I would mention it in the fervent hope of encouraging you and your dh. Advances in treatment of heart issues have been dramatic since dh underwent surgery! May the Lord sustain you in the days ahead! Pray! Hope! Trust! 
eta: Gwen, I missed the update about your husband's lung. Dh experienced the same problem. It's usually a matter of a couple days or so until such things resolve themselves. Praying for your entire family!

Oh my, I am soooo happy  I finally made it here to talk with you, update you and just rest with my old friends and new today.
 These are happy tears 
Thank you, thank you for every prayer posted here and those many more not.
We are happily tired and on the road to recovery. I so appreciate the encouragement of those who have been here. All in all things went as good as they possibly could have and Servant2theKing is right that it just takes a couple of days for those lungs to get back up to speed (well enough to go home anyway).
The generosity of so many pray-ers continues to keep us going!!

P.S. We came home 5 days postop, on 11/10, and dh made it to Sunday Mass on the 18th and then to my mom's for Thanksgiving dinner. His brother flew in on THanksgiving afternoon from AZ and surprised (shocked) him when he walked in to my mom's house. Fortunately he didn't have a heart attack
