Praying Cay! Someday we will sit back in our rocking chairs and smile at how we worried today.
Today I just think, does it ever end?
Hang in there!

Hang in there Cay...easier said than done I know, but you are in God's hands and as others have said you are covered in prayer.

Dh just called. He got word it was a 'no' vote. Which means we're still on strike...supposedly by an landslide vote. Of course, we won't receive the official vote until the 10 o'clock news.
Funny how earlier today I was kind of sad about the strike ending. Even though dh leaves early in the morning and is gone all day there's a different feel about him being self-employed again. A freer, more liberating feel.
It's a lot more scary though.
I really can't say which I prefer.
In the meantime, he and his friend will probably expand the business and hope it stays steady another 3+ months.
Also, another twist this morning, our new pastor arrived in the parissh Aug. 1st and has been familiarizing himself with everything and everyone. I got word that he'd like the DRE to try doing everything on her own without a secretary. So...I won't have that little sideline job like I thought.
But, there again, I was thinking yesterday how I really thought working in the CCD office would disillusion me in my spiritual walk and work (I've helped enough in the office and classes to know what goes on there), and I was beginning to question if I really wanted to do it. I was told at first I could work from home. Then I was told they'd expect me at the office everyday 9-11 AM. I was almost relieved to hear the news.
Being in limbo about these things has been stressful enough. Now I feel we can move forward...for awhile anyway. Besides, I have a book to finish.
God's will be done. And thanks for letting me bear my burdens on all of you.

Appreciate the updates. Continued prayers. Despite the losses, it is definitely grace that you can see the positive to the outcomes.

Okay, so hit me over the head with one of those picket signs already.
Update for more prayers.
The union and company are meeting again this coming week to discuss...whatever.

Have come across this, and am praying for you all. Praing for God's guidance, and His comfort.
We have too many friends (and family) out of work up here in MI (only 2 directly related to automotive/manufacturing- the heart of MI employment.)
God Bless,

Okay, I apologize. It's me again.
Don't worry about responding, you've all been most patient and kind already. But I feel like I'm on a roller coaster ride and can't get off and, since riding a roller coaster isn't any fun by one's self, I'm taking you all on it with me.
For some reason it's more fun with all of you than with family and friends around here who call constantly and want to know details and more details and specifics and things that I can't tell them because I really don't know the specifics myself.
Anyway, the company has proposed something else. The workers will find out this Monday and vote next week. Needless to say we've gotten ten different stories and ten different theories. Who knows?!
That's the long and short of it.
And the new DRE in the parish has asked if I'd be willling to help in the office afterall...5 hours a week. Yeah, I think I can handle that.
But the ride isn't over till the ride is over.
Wheeee~~~
Are we having fun yet?

Final update...
The vote passed.
They go back to work on...9/11.
Thank you so much for the prayers. They really lifted us up during this time.
