Dear Daughter of the King,
May you take comfort in all the loving care these dear friends are extending, and most of all May Our Lord and Our Lady hold you close, may you feel them walking with you every step of the way through whatever you are experiencing. I have been down in deep trials before, and I know how it feels. May you see light in the midst of the darkness, and reach out for help, to Our Lord, Our Lady, and to people they will send to help you. I pray you will reach out and share this load with others, talk to others who can help you through whatever you are facing. I learned the importance of this in the darkest time in my life, and I made the resolution that I would not shut all others out, I made my Mom my confidant, determining that I would share all with her, knowing that we humans need to have someone to share our trials so we don't get too far down.
The devil is the bringer of despair, he doesn't want us to turn to God. But God is the God of HOPE, know that no matter what the difficulty , He WILL bring you out on the other side, even if it takes time. But you have time, offer Him each moment, cling to Him and His promises through each second if need be, He will carry you through.
I have found comfort in the poem "Footprints in the Sand" in times of great sorrow in the past, may it comfort you knowing that He is and will carry you always. Just cling to Him!!!! Keep your eyes on Him, keep your mind on Him, keep your heart in His hands. No matter what this world hands you, if you keep Our Lord as your focus, He will carry you through in this life, until HE decides to bring you home. Life is worth living! It is a gift from Him, the chance to be His faithful child, that one day we may be with Him in heaven!
FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints.
Other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life When I was suffering from anguish, sorrow, or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord, "You promised me, Lord, That if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I noticed that during the most trying periods of my life There have only been one set of prints in the sand. Why, When I have needed you most, you have not been there for me?"
The Lord replied, "The times when you have seen only one set of footprints Is when I carried you."

I am still thinking and praying for you every hour of the day!
I hope you are doing a little better. It's so hard to think straight, and reality becomes so cattywampus it's hard to make it come right in your mind.
Treat yourself today to lots of things that help you laugh or relax. Watch a silly movie that makes you forget everything. I find I need arts and music and handicrafts and gardening to help me heal on the inside. I can usually see if I've been "too busy" to weed or do a needlecraft project or play the piano it points to my down times. I NEED that nurturing. Nurture yourself in whatever ways that calm you. Retail therapy is short lived UNLESS you're purchasing something for a project, like a knitted project.
Anyway -- I wish I could just be a local girlfriend to chat over coffee and give you real life hugs and help you in any way.
Don't start thinking of the whole bleak picture. That always made me dissolve in a heap. Think in small increments. Baby steps. What do I have to do in this hour? the next hour? That's how I coped in the past. You have to get dressed one leg at a time, and you eat the elephant only one bite at a time. Think of each bite, don't look at the whole elephant!
Praying to Our Lady today for you! Lots of Memorares for you.

My friend is struggling to see that there are people in her life available to help in addition to those who offer prayer.
It is hard as wives and mothers to ask for help.
We are in the habit of focusing our concern on others.
We are slow to ask for the help we need.
When in need, we can look for someone in our immediate physical circle who is available , willin, and able to help.
We can also look to those who, by their training and heart's desire, show us they want to help us. Professional counselors (for a fee) as well as well trained volunteers (often cost-free) can be God-sends.
This free crisis line is always available:
800-273-8255
Today is a day of HOPE and TRUST in the Lord to find the perfect way to heal us .
Love and prayers,

That old saying "Let go and Let God" speaks to me. I'm always the one who has had to be in the driver's seat. Letting God do the work means I have to ask for help. He is always sending a repeating message to me -- I need Him and others, and I need to allow people to step in and help me.
When I was super depressed, when I finally came out and asked for help from counselors and family, a huge weight was lifted off of me. I didn't have to do this alone, nor did God intend me to bear this alone. We are part of the Mystical Body, part of the Vine and Branches. We are all interconnected, and we can't cut ourselves off and be isolated and run ourselves. We would die. We need that sap from the Vine, we need the other branches to help the Vine flourish and bear fruit.
Another old saying "No Man is an Island." -- that applies here!
It is not failure to reach out for help. You will feel so much better. I'm praying you pick up the phone and call!

It really is so hard to ask for help. Even to know what sort of help to ask for. As wives and mothers we're often seen as hurting our families if we need help to the point where we feel like we can't ask for help because of being so roughly judged by society.
But ask anyway.
I was also thinking of posting the poem Footprints.. my mom clung to that image when my father was dying. It doesn't mean that the hard things are less hard. It means that even when we feel alone that we're not.. He is there with us even when we don't feel it.

Just reading this and adding my prayers. We were not meant to carry all the weight ourselves, we live in communion with God and with one another, and we are supposed to seek help when needed--from God and from one another. It is not easy, but it is necessary.
Praying that you might seek and find the help you need, that the Holy Spirit will guide you, that Mary will enfold you in her loving arms, that you might see how beloved you are and see the worth of God's plan for you here!

I know it is so hard to reach out and ask for help, yet Our Lord shows us that this is sometimes necessary when, along the Via Crucis, Simon helped Him carry His cross. What a gift in that example. Allow this crisis line to be your Simon, friend.
May our prayers provide you a bridge of courage so that you can call this crisis line, and receive God's help through those that will be able to help you further.

Dear friend, I have been thinking of you today and praying for your peace of mind and for connections to people and organizations that can help you out of this dark valley and into the sunshine of hope.
I offered yesterday's Mass for you, too - it was a bit of a zany experience (my fellow alto knocked over our music stand during the homily ) but the embarrassment was just another sacrifice to make on your behalf.

I have been praying memorares for you....and I offered the mass yesterday, the consecration and my communion for you.
I also lit a candle for you.
I love you that much.....
Like Jenn Miller, I also thought of you when reading the Words in the mass yesterday.

Continuing to pray!
These songs below have helped me through times of great sorrow and deep pain in my life, things a person should never be subjected to by others, yet these songs, and reaching out for help from others helped me through, and God has definitely blessed my life. He will carry you through, and days will come that are brighter!
This lovely song by 3rd Day, you can hear it here. (It is touching to hear it).
"When The Rain Comes"
When the rain comes it seems that everyone has gone away
When the night falls you wonder if you shouldn't find someplace
To run and hide Escape the pain
But hiding's such a lonely thing to do
I can't stop the rain From falling down on you again
I can't stop the rain
But I will hold you 'til it goes away
When the rain comes you blame it on the things that you have done
When the storm fades you know that rain must fall on everyone
Rest awhile it'll be alright
No one loves you like I do
When the rain comes I will hold you
This song by Ginny Owens, there is a video you can listen to it here.
If You Want Me To
The pathway is broken And The signs are unclear
And I don't know the reason why You brought me here
But just because You love me the way that You do
I'm gonna walk through the valley
If You want me to
Chorus:
Cause I'm not who I was
When I took my first step
And I'm clinging to the promise
You're not through with me yet
so if all of these trials bring me closer to you
Then I will walk through the fire
If You want me to
It may not be the way I would have chosen
When you lead me through a world that's not my home
But You never said it would be easy
You only said I'd never go alone
So When the whole world turns against me
And I'm all by myself
And I can't hear You answer my cries for help
I'll remember the suffering Your love put You through And I will go through the valley If You want me to
This song is by Natalie Grant, you can hear it here.
Two months is too little
They let him go They had no sudden healing
To think that providence
Would take a child from his mother
While she prays, is appalling
Who told us we'd be rescued
What has changed and
Why should we be saved from nightmares
We're asking why this happens to us
Who have died to live, it's unfair
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was that when everything fell
We'd be held
This hand is bitterness
We want to taste it and
Let the hatred numb our sorrows
The wise hand opens slowly
To lilies of the valley and tomorrow
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was that when everything fell
We'd be held
If hope if born of suffering
If this is only the beginning
Can we not wait, for one hour
Watching for our Savior
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was that when everything fell
We'd be held [Repeat Chorus]
One other thought that touched me was that Jesus has known pain like no other, He suffered so greatly, He was abandoned by most who'd been close to Him, He was beaten beyond belief and crucified for us. He truly knows pain like what you are enduring right now. If He suffered so greatly FOR US, we are truly not alone in our pain.
Dear Friend, whatever it may be you are suffering right now, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. You can and will make it through this. Jesus, Our Loving Father, The Holy Spirit are right there to carry you through. Keep placing yourself and all you may face in HIS hands, He is great enough to bear it, and help you to bear it!
