Thanks for all the prayers. We had to keep reiterating to them that our counter was firm. They came back with 2 counters that were really low (too low for us to make work financially), then they finally gave up. We weren't that far apart in the end, but that 8K was an impossible hurtle for us, while to them on a 30yr mortgage didn't seem to me like that big of a deal. We aren't trying to be greedy, only trying to not have to take a check to closing and at our current list price we only have a tiny bit of room. We basically need to sell it for what we bought it for 8 years ago. Our market hasn't tanked as badly here as it has in other parts of the country, so I don't think we are asking too much considering we have made solid improvements (new roof and windows). Also, our realtor has checked several times and has assured us that our house is priced right.

Praying for everyone in the same boat (there seems to be lots of us). I am praying that we can make this all happen before I get too far into my pregnancy (currently at 15 weeks).

Hang in there Beth! For us - we are listed well below what we bought for! Realtor talked me into the last time we lowered - but now - there is no negotiating room. It is listed for our lowest price we can go, which isn't good. But - I get you - some people are like annoying flies - they keep coming back and are annoying! I kept thinking: "what part of 'this is our final price' don't you get"!
