Is it possible that she has developed scarlet fever and perhaps needs a stronger antibiotic?

Praying here, too. Even if FHC is postponed, I think you should still have a massive celebration with all your guests. That would cheer your dd up, and you could call it the "warm up" party.
But I hope she is feeling much better soon. Please keep us posted!

Yes, in fact, she did have scarlett fever.
However, it looks like it was just a virus on top of the scarlett fever! Her fever broke this morning!!!! PRAISE GOD!! Her throat is still very sore, but she is good to go!!
She is so very very VERY excited!!

So glad she is doing better! Scarlett Fever was one of my more memorable childhood illnesses, lol, and many people don't realize it is most often an extension of Strep.
