Sorry to keep you all in suspense... 
Emily Teresa finally made her appearance at 11:37pm on Thursday April 27. She was 8lbs 7oz and 19 inches long, nowhere near the huge baby they anticipated! I am not complaining though.  She has a full head of black hair and has a darker complexion than the rest of the kids.
The labor did not go according to plans (go figure!) My midwife offered to strip my membranes saying that it should send me right into labor. I wasn't quite aware what that procedure entailed. Wow! did it hurt! Anyway, it seemed to put me into good labor, but after awhile the contractions subsided. Then she broke my water around 2pm and I started contracting again. By 9pm, I had slowed down to almost nothing and they decided to start Pitocin. That made the contractions harder but still not regular. In the end, as I was begging for an epidural because it seemed to be going on forever (I am used to quick labors), the midwife encouraged me to hang on a little longer and she was born a short time later after only a couple of pushes.
She is doing well and is being well-loved by her sisters and brothers. I am feeling pretty good, but can feel that post-partum fatigue setting in after two days of feeling great.

Oh Molly! I am so very happy for you! Congratulations! I had my membranes stripped for one of my kids...a few times, actually and it was uncomfortable...I guess your little one was in such a warm and cozy spot that she didn't want to leave
What a beautiful name! I can't tell you how happy we all are to hear of your news! Prayers going up for your whole family as you adjust to your new life together...get some rest!! and enjoy your sweet babymoon!!
