I have to explain every time that we do not use them and that our Dr. and diabetes nutrition counselor who are part of the same health system as the hospital! do not want us to. They are just SHOCKED that we use real sugar and that we let her eat normally and simply dose her like her pancreas would if she wasn't diabetic. It's very frustrating.
