Happy to hear your update. May I suggest something to try in combination with your other paths (medical,prayer etc)? Try working with a chiropractor. Many of these things are connected to how the body is or isn't functioning properly. When the body is out of whack (such a scientific term) it can cause a lot of strange reactions/behaviors/depression etc.

Praise God for you! Just seeing this and isn't it wonderful that God is so good! He heard your plea and took full control. You can see now that He is indeed with you, so if things get tough along this journey, remember this, in fact I would write it all down in a journal or something, so you can refer to it if the days have valleys ahead.
