Well one thing you CAN do is increase the vitamin C you and the kids get. It helps your body handle allergens. I can control my summer hay fever with just higher doses of vit C so I know it can work.

Maybe you can have a realtor come at the flooring issue as a way to get the house sold faster?

Amy, my dh can be quite stubborn when work needs to be done on and around the house. I prayed for guidance on communicating my feelings towards him. He eventually realized what was so important for our family. Even though he didn't want to do more work on house as we were placing it on the market, we both knew it could come up during the inspection and it would be in the best interest of our family to have it done if we didn't sell our home.

I will pray for your whole family..for the health of your children and for the communication between you and your dh.

Amy, I didn't post before but I have been praying for you all and for the Holy Spirit to guide and bring peace! I have found that sometimes if I keep my mouth shut and just wait and pray, God either grants the opportunity to speak at the right time or He resolves things altogether. So I think you're really doing a (hard) but wonderful thing! I'll keep praying!

Prayers Amy. This hits close to home for me. We are in a somewhat similar (albeit much much less severe) situation. We thought about fixing up our house, but in the end it just didn't make sense financially. It was depressing until all of a sudden we found a house that doesn't have any carpet in it at all! Now we just need to sell our place, which is no small task, but it is great to know that a house is out there that actually suits us. Have faith and keep looking. God has a plan and it is greater than anything you can imagine (A dear friend has told me this for years and I am finally starting to believe her )
