Prayers continuing here for you and your family, Chris. My twins were also in the NICU for a few days...it IS tough, but thanks be to God for all the wonderful medical support our little ones receive! We are blessed to have such care available. I know this time will pass quickly and you AND the babies will soon be home where you belong!
Funny note: I also had "Baby A" born second and it totally confused the doctors, the hospital, and the Social Security Administration, who gave my younger twin the lower SSN number that should have gone to the first born...for a while, the hospital had two "Baby B's" for me...would the REAL Baby B please stand up?????

Congratulations on the birth of your girls. I will continue to pray for you in the coming weeks. I know how hard they will be. Twice the work but twice the joy too!
Praying your little ones will be home in time for Christmas.

I am SO thankful your darling girls are breathing so well and that you can be with them every day. They will be home with you before you know it!
Thanks for updating; I know it's hard to step away from the hospital and into "normal" life when all you want is to be with your babies...but we sure appreciate it!

Thank you for taking the time to update! It is so hard to try to divide between home and hospital. We had a bit of a time like that in the early days with our twins. So happy to hear of the GOOD signs they are showing, and so precious to hear of each of their names and individual, adorable personalities. We will definitely continue to hold you and your entire family in prayers during these times, especially your sweet little girls.
BTW if they aren't nursing right now, I wouldn't totally give up on it, our dd twin was in the NICU during the first week and on bottles during that time, and she wasn't to particular for nursing at first when she got home, however with persistence we got her back on breastfeeding, and she nursed like a champ after that(it took about a week of patient working with her). Ds also had some weak latch problems, but with persistence he also eventually did much better. If things haven't gone well, and you aren't able to breastfeed, then disregard this all, and I give my sympathies, as I know it means a lot to you.
Okay, I'm done. Just wanted to put those things out there, on the chance they may be helpful in any way. I know how emotional the first days can be, esp. when they're in the hospital, and any bit of encouraging info can help. Many hugs and prayers, Chris.

Prayers for you and your emotional and physical well-being over these coming days, weeks and possibly months. My first was 5 weeks premature and spent 8 days in NICU so I understand the anguish from being pregnant and then coming home without your baby(ies). I didn't have other children at home so I know that probably definitely adds a whole other layer to your emotions.
Keep up your rest right now and your vitamins and your food intake. The hospital loaned me the highest quality pump so they could feed my DD my milk while away (thru a syringe!). She was still on some formula and did have trouble latching until she hit that magical 40 week mark. Could have also been her inexperienced mom so just thought I'd offer that support if you're planning on nursing.
and Congratulations!! What a Christmas gift!!

I will definitely continue to say prayers for you and ALL of those sweet girls, Chris (and your husband)! I can't imagine how hard it must be to be home without the twins and pray they'll be home soon. It's wonderful that they are doing so well!
