I did something similar. We couldn't get married in the church because my husband's annulment took over three years (and it wasn't contested). They lost it twice in a move, the pope died, our bishop changed. We did all of the PreCana before we got married so it wasn't a big deal to do the convalidation. I was 8 months pregnant when we did. I will send some prayers your way. May the Holy Church gently draw you into the beautiful Sacrament of Marriage and all the grace that comes with it! God bless you and good luck.

A little update, we only just finished the paperwork a couple weeks ago. I didn't call to follow up in January, I didn't want to be pushy, and then Fr was gone most of February. But the paper work is done, providing he's sent in a letter of support, I should be hearing back. He figured it would be a couple weeks, which is today, if the Bishop isn't busy with any high priority items. I'm stalking the mail man and jumping at the phone. I do hope it's complete before Easter, my girls are getting their Easter Sacraments on April 7th :)

I'll be rejoicing when I hear back, and hoping it's what we wanted, granted!

I am still waiting, trying to be patient and not harass anyone to find out what is going on.
Fr. called yesterday to clarify something on the paperwork, and was calling the Bishops office back. So they are working on it now. So I know that much.
I should soon know one way or the other. It would be great to know before Friday, but I think it'll be at least another few weeks.... 
It is so hard to be patient! SOOO close, yet so terrible far away.  for patience....

Praying for blessed results, soon and very soon! When things like this are pressing I always tell myself we waited so much longer before the anticipated event ~ it helps the comparitive wait seem somewhat shorter! Hoping your wait and the final result are filled with grace and joy for you and dh and your entire family!
