Oh I hate this time of year for all the sicknesses it brings!

I started feeling sick at RCIA last night. Stomach, head and then shaky and sweating. I am feeling OK this morning but I feel strangely woozy and unbalanced but my head is stuffed up so I am guessing that's why.

Unfortunately Mary (15) is now also down and Maggie (who is diabetic) just came down to tell me that she too is sick and has large ketones. So we're doing what we can. Getting her blood sugar up and double correcting with insulin (it's crazy the amount of insulin they need when they are sick).

Please pray we can get Maggie through and that she doesn't go into ketoacidosis again and end up in the hospital (she was there 3 weeks ago). Her birthday is Monday and that would not be a fun way to spend it.

Well whatever it was it was very short lived. We're all feeling better and FINALLY after 2 days of BGs over 300 (some over 600) Maggie just told me her BG was 69!
WHOO HOO! She had small ketones an hour ago so we're on the right path.

Thank God!

Maggie is much better but unfortunately 7 yr. old Matthew started throwing up tonight. He's diabetic too but usually doesn't get as sick as Maggie.

He has moderate ketones so we're watching him closely. Please keep him in prayer.

Coupled with a clogged toilet it's been an interesting evening. . .
