More confident news Chris, that is great - it is a pleasure to pray for you and your precious babies. I hope you are feeling some of that peace that only Our Sweet Lord can give and trusting that Our Lady has you covered!

**** Update 12/12 ****
The good news is that I'm now 36 weeks and my little babies are still safe and healthy and growing! So all of the major concerns for them have subsided. ... The bad news is that as of this morning I am officially on bedrest because I am developing preeclampsia. I've never had this before and of course I'm worried. We're still in "watch and wait" mode, but I would appreciate any spare prayers you could offer .

I'm so sorry to hear you're developing pre-e! That's no fun at all. The great news is, babies are still safe and healthy and growing. Making it to 36 weeks is amazing. I hope things continue to stay safe for all three of you. Hang in there with the bedrest! It is so hard (especially when you have other children). I did a few days bedrest with Ella (which is hardly any time at all, really) and it was a challenge.
Praying for you!

Still praying! Making it to 36 weeks is awesome!! Protein is supposed to help with preclampsia, so maybe make sure you're getting enough... I think the Brewer diet recommendation for twins is 130 g of protein daily at least.
Here is an article you might find useful on diet and preeclampsia:
Brewer diet and preeclampsia
and
Brewer diet for twins
It's getting a little late now, but maybe there is a way to keep that preeclampsia under control? I'll be praying!

Thank you for the articles links, Angela! I have no idea just how much protein I actually eat each day, I know it's a lot ... but I don't think I eat 130 grams every day.
My homeopath will no doubt give me some remedies to help the symptoms as well. But just as you say, I hope it's not too late to really help me. Thank you for the prayers.

Chris, still praying for you and those babes! Twins require a lot of work...even if it is the work of lying down all day! I was on bed rest with mine for 3 1/2 months, but they are bouncing around here right now! I am so glad you have made it to 36 weeks, any additional time now is just that much better.
The pre-eclampsia is frightening, but I'm sure at this point they will keep a close eye on it and no harm will come to you or your little ones. Rest and maintain your heart in peace. This is a wonderful chance for your family to learn to care for you and to learn the value of selflessness.
Sleep as much as you can...might be a while before you can rest again .
Praying for you every day now!

... well, my doctor and his nurse are giving me the next two to three days to induce my own labor, and they're hoping I'm successful at doing so.
Having not ever had the need to induce my own labor (all my babies have come around 38 weeks), I'm only vaguely familiar with some of the ideas that may or may not work. So I would love to hear all of your suggestions! Fire away

I have no ideas at all, Chris, but wanted you to know that I have been praying for you and the babies through all of these updates and the "spinning" posts. I'll add prayers for labor in the next few days. I've gone into false labor with spicy food and walks in the mall...

I know one is evening primrose oil, I believe on the cervix. Long walks have helped some people I know.

My SIL rode roller-coasters not sure that approach is viable.
DH can help in a way only dh can as long as that activity hasn't been ruled out by the doctor.
I've heard of walking and spicy food helping. Not keeping hydrated enough always set off contractions for me, but I would not recommend that one going into labor.
I know there are pressure points that may cause contractions when pressed, but I do not remember where they are. Maybe someone else knows?
Best thing would be to ask the doctor, as with the preeclampsia there might be concerns with some approaches.
Praying!
