Mmm, looks tasty...haven't had my cup yet, but I'm off to have a cup of Godiva's Pumpkin Spice with a plain bagel and humus.

oh yummy.. I had no idea I woudn't get here until it was a before dinner snack though.
got involved in organizing shoes last night.. putting away wrong sizes and sorting and all that so that only actually currently in use shoes are out instead of flip flops to snowboots all being out.
So I got to bed pretty late.. and then just lots of little things this morning and took baby up to be weighed (he's doing GREAT.. gained almost 9 ounces in the last 6 days.. and is above birth weight at 2weeks) and stopped at a store and post office and then visited with my mom and sister.
Life changed suddenly, ILs won't be hosting Thanksgiving and so we'll be staying home, and then had an offer of a car from dh's aunt and uncle and trying to figure that out.. and then ILs asked if we could move the baptism up to this weekend
Not to mention that I was hoping to get the girls room painted this weekend..
So I went from what should have been a quiet day to trying to juggle and figure out what we can and can't manage. And I still don't know
But that crumb cake sure looks yummy and maybe I'll have a cup of tea or hot chocolate with it.. hmmm

Crumb cake and coffee would be nice to have here. I just have Halloween candy tempting me.
I've never had a macaroon -- they look mighty colorful!
I think it's time now for a glass of wine.

I just had a piece of dark chocolate. And now I'm going to bake my dh's birthday cake: Almond flour carrot cake with coconut cream frosting... except I'm using hazelnut flour and either honey or coconut palm syrup for the agave (haven't decided yet) and I always substitute either coconut oil or butter for the grapeseed oil she uses...
Might have some tea while I work.

Stef, macaroons have never sounded good to me. (I've had the impression that they contain coconut. ) BOY do those look good though!!
And I'll be joining ya'll for chocolate cake. Don't know if it goes well with wine. How about with a nice Shiner?

I'll take some of your dh's b'day cake, if any crumbs are left. We've baked that cake ourselves and it is delish With a glass of sweet white thanks.

Macaroons = coconut
Macarons = French almond cookie thingies ;) - only four ingredients - almond flour, egg whites, flavoring/coloring and sugar, plus the filling
If I get my act together this year I can send samples, though I don't know how they'd last in the mail. (Some people sell them on Etsy!)

Ugh! I'll take either of the latest breakfast delights, thank you! Instead, I am sipping American coffee (as opposed to Cuban, which is yummy but gone too fast) with butter pecan creamer, which is also yummy but terrible for my complexion.
Last night I made gooey butter cake for a book club meeting and am fighting the temptation to have some now. It looks simple but lovely here:
Unfortunately, mine had an accident as I was trying to quickly cool it (baking in a glass pan was totally lacking in foresight...). It ended up looking like a big pile of crumbs. Still tastes good, though, and my houseful of boys didn't seem to care! Book Club was forgiving as well.

This mornings breakfast and treat look so yummy. No comparison to my rasberry granola topped yogurt with another cup of pumpkin spice coffee.
We're going to watch Luma, Science of Lights show this morning. I'll stop by and see what you ladies are serving for tea later .

I'm having a cranberry orange scone this morning with a cup of hot chocolate.
It snowed yesterday and is very pretty out there though the roads at least are thawing out pretty fast. (we got maybe 2 inches)

Thinking about macarons (can't stop thinking about macarons..... ), the other day in the freezer section of Trader Joe I saw a loaf shaped dessert that said it was macaron layered with cream and raspberries. One of these days my resolve will be worn down enough and then I'll KNOW what it tastes like. But I did wonder whether it is might be similar to the pavlova (sp?) that some of you Aussie ladies have mentioned. Anyone have a thought?
Peace,
Nancy
