Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Thank you!
Thank you all for the many prayers! You can't believe the peace that came over me Thursday morning as I entered the hospital.!!!! No more mourning, no more sorrow.
Graces upon graces were showered upon me. Caring and competent doctors and nurses, Religious Sisters in habits in different corners of the hospital, Holy Mass Thursday evening here in the hospital... Peace.
And an abundance of thankfulness for the gift of my 4 daughters. I don't want to be crude, but it came to me that this ol' uterus of mine did it's job and now, well, it is somehow broken and had to be removed. Maybe, just maybe this will help me move on... Now that it is gone... I no longer question my femininity or maternity.

I know I was carried by many many prayers. This gave me tremendous confidence going into the surgery Friday morning. It was also comforting to know of Jodie's little baby being born just as I was leaving for the hospital... I hear new born cries here on my floor all the time and am thankful, truly thankful.

I had forgotten to mention that my dh gave me a Marian medal to replace my "Our Lady of La Leche" medal, which I no longer felt comfortable wearing.
Since Sunday I have been wearing a silver miraculous medal around my neck. Our Lady has showered me with graces and kept me covered in her mantle.
I hear the Angelus bells at 12 and 6 here everyday and because I have no distractions I am able to respond immediately in prayer. This is so wonderful!
