Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

It took a long time for me to feel back to normal, too, KC.

I had reactions to the tape they used on my incision, not comfortable at all. Not sure if it was a latex reaction or the adhesive.

I blistered from the bandage tape they used at the hospital...I am, apparently, allergic to either adhesive or latex. My daughter is, too.

I also reacted to the bandages and the pads at the hospital. It took quite some time for the blisters to clear. My deliveries were planned c-sections, but my ds arrived earlier. He just got tired of waiting. I had a quick recovery with him and my pain was easy to manage.

With my dd, I had a hard time with pain management. I had a pump and it just did not work for me. They finally came in the night she arrived and gave me something along with the pump medication.

I used a pillow. I never was offered a belt so I cannot speak to that. And with my dd, I left earlier than the required time. The nurses kept pestering me about feeding her waking me even in the middle of the night. She slept a lot and was not fussy at all. I asked to go home a day early so I could rest. Walking was the key to exit and both of us were quite healthy so off we went!
