I found the same thing happening here. Not only did ds learn the information, but he also learned alot about the process of finding the information. And the things that were too difficult for him to do on his own he learned by watching me puzzle over them. It certainly is a good arguement for learning through projects that are complex and challenging on many levels, even if they need parental help for the tougher spots.
