Thanks so much to all of you for your prayers and kind words.

Nancy, you're right -- it was like living in a warzone and totally unlike anything I've experienced in my life. The most frightening thing was that it seemed to come from nowhere and for that one night at least, the police seemed powerless. The trouble is, there has been so much controversy in recent years over heavy-handed policing (including the death of an entirely innocent man during the G8 protests) that they're damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Anyway, I'm so thankful that last night was very peaceful here and throughout most of London. There was some violence in Manchester and Salford, though, and the apparent randomness of where the trouble springs up is very worrying.

Thank you again, and praying for all your intentions.
