Thanks for asking, Gina - no real updates yet. We were able to get an earlier appointment (thank you God and Dr. A  ) so I'll be taking him in on July 26. He's still limping a lot - sometimes it seems like one leg, sometimes the other, sometimes both. I would not be at all surprised if it does turn out to be juvenile rheumatoid arthritis as his sister has alopecia areata, and they are related auto-immune diseases.  And just two weeks ago I was saying, "Gee, he's the only one of our kids without some life-altering condition!" 
Thank you so much for your prayers, everyone. I'll try to post again if I learn anything new.

Oh Amy, I didn't see the orginal post as it was right at the time of the local conference I coordinate. But am reading the update now and praying for you and your little guy. That sounds so hopeful that the new meds have progressed so much and offer a better prognosis.

I am so sorry to hear about the diagnosis and I have been praying for your son. My mom has RA and she said that most children with juvenile RA outgrow it so I hope that is true. I know how difficult this diagnosis can be and I will continue to keep your family in my prayers.

I'm so sorry. I have heard that the drugs that are available are great and will greatly reduce the effects of RA.
