My fertility has returned (Joséphine is 7.5 months old), and I am experiencing confessions-worthy PMS. All this while dealing with home restorations, and getting our farm up and running. Right now, we're commuting 3 hours a day and trying to work out a reasonable schedule. And I'm trying to ensure that we are eating well and sleeping enough so that we don't get sick - and so that I don't flare.
Thank goodness school is done for the year for everyone. I feel awful complaining because we waited so long to be in this precise position... and we went into it with our eyes wide open.
I need prayers for health and an abundance of grace, mercy, and forgiveness.
Blessings,

Praying for you Nissa. May God's abundant grace and mercy carry you through these times.
(Would it be possible to camp on your farm in a tent, camper or mh during the restoration process? Staying onsite might be so much less stressful.)

We've been back and forth about it. We've been out to look at RVs, and just aren't comfortable with extending ourselves further financially. Tents wouldn't really work for our family for 16 weeks, though our two oldest boys would think it was the greatest adventure ever.
Blessings,

Do you have running water and electric? Even without camping on a floor in the new place maybe better then commuting... If you don't have livestock yet spend a few days there then a few days home. Praying Annie

Unfortunately, we can't legally occupy the house. It is open to the outside, has floors open to the basement and will be on jacks starting Monday, has no heating system and only rudimentary utilities.
We do have livestock on the farm already (a condition of the sale because it is a preserved farm), so we need to be there twice daily for feeding and milking.
Not much fun right now, but is thankfully only temporary.
Blessings,

...this probably doesn't offer any help, Nissa, but we are in a similar situation - that of going between homes at the moment - and will likely be doing so until late fall. Thankfully, our solution is our travel trailer (which we bought a few years ago, in used condition, for just a couple thousand dollars). My husband is going to park it on our property this weekend and will spend the weekends and part of the week living there. The girls and I will stay with him on the weekends. It isn't all that big, but will sleep up to 8 people. We are going to pitch a tent as an additional space for our girls - they can play games there, or rest in there. Anyway, a travel trailer is much, much more affordable than a RV, and even more so if you by a used one. (and actually, I vividly remember seeing a used 25ft. travel trailer - vintage 1960 or so - in remarkable condition for $1000. We almost bought it!)

Adding my prayers!!!!
....and tagging onto Chris' suggestion - we watch our local Craigslist for RV's and small camping trailers and they are very popular to sell right now (I guess because of the gas prices and economy). Anyway, they're usually extremely affordable (used) in our area, and I just thought I'd mention looking into Craigslist, or asking around locally...it's possible someone has an RV or a nice camping trailer that they really can't afford to use right now and they might not mind you borrowing it for a few months.

Nissa, continuing to pray for wisdom and grace in all you are undergoing. If it helps at all, our favorite memories and stories amongst my siblings are of camping in a very rustic state campground, first in late Spring snow, then for most of the Summer, while we helped our aunt build a new cottage ~picture an old rusty hand pump for water, smelly outhouses, cooking over an open fire, cramming nine people and 2 very large dogs into a 8x8 tent with rain pouring down, bathing in a small metal washtub and my very modest 5yo sister being totally mortified when a troup of boy scouts came hiking through the dense woods on the only side of our sheet lined wash area that wasn't covered....after my mother repeatedly assured her there was no one around for miles who could possibly see her! The stuff fond family memories are made of!!!
Sharing all this to assure you that whatever happens, your children will most likely view this season in your lives as a grand adventure and will totally forget whatever details your mother's heart came seeking prayer for! Keep your eye and your heart on this present moment in your lives, all the blessings God is already pouring out upon your family and all those that lie ahead! Your BLOG reveals an idyllic life in the making! Remember, our Lord spent his early days in a stable ~ surely He and our Blessed Mother understand what you are experiencing during this time of transition and will bless whatever place you lay your heads at the end of each day! Lay on the grass some night soon with your family, gaze at the stars together and soak in all the grace God is sending your way!
Praying for your family too Chris! Enjoy your happy life in your new home!
