Thanks, all. I didn't know Joan all that well, but she was very obviously a vibrant, gifted, wonderful person and a healing presence in my sister-in-law's wounded family. Her loss is a huge blow to them, and at this point what I'm praying is that they will know God's nearness in the dark.
