What a treasure you have in this time with your little brother. If he lived a full long life you might have never seen him much at all. God is so good! I will pray for himand the family.

Thank you dear friend for thinking of me!
Thank you all so much for continuing to stand by me and prayerfully assisting my brother right now.
I am doing well. I'm still here at my Mom and Dad's helping out with my brother. I was able to get home to my house to be with Rob and my kids for a couple of days earlier this week and that was wonderful!!! When I'm here helping out at Mom's, we each take turns sitting with Chris. I'm in and out of Chris' room, spending time with him each day, and when I'm not in the room I enjoy spending a few minutes here.  It's a welcome and happy distraction.
Chris continues his grueling via crucis through Him, with Him, in Him. The last couple of days have marked a different stage and level of pain for him. I trust God's timing, His plan, His mercy, His wisdom. I'm grateful for the tender care of the Father and I'm grateful for every single moment I have with Chris.
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Father...

Actually, it makes me smile that you posted this as I've been contemplating Our Lady's words to St. Juan Diego quite a bit lately!! Chris can no longer see much of his surroundings (his vision is almost gone), but he can still see one image that hangs on the wall. It is a small, oval picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe which hangs just above his bed. Since he has been confined to his bed, I catch him staring at her. When I sit with him and he looks up at her and she looks down at him, I'm just transfixed.
The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, as you know, is such that Our Lady is looking down, lovingly, with her head positioned to her right...she's looking down and to her right. In the way the picture hangs, her gaze rests very naturally on Chris as he lies in the bed, and Chris, though he cannot always communicate verbally with us anymore, still communicates with his eyes when he looks at his mother.
Anyway...I couldn't resist sharing that with you since you posted those words of Our Lady's. Those words have been in my thoughts so much lately. How privileged I am to have a small spot at the foot of the bed to see that Chris is within Her fold, and to have some small part within the fold as well.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for Chris.
