I have not been here much this past Lenten season and just saw this.
I am trying to imagine you having to deal with such a grief-striken journey. It breaks my heart! 
Much love and many prayers for your brother to have a peaceful and holy death and for you and your whole family to keep him alive in your memories.

Jennifer, I am beginning a novena today to St. Joseph, begging him to intercede for Chris that he may be granted a happy and holy death. It strikes me that only those of us who have faith in Christ can talk of death being "happy", but for us, it is indeed. The joy of the Resurrection renews that hope of the whole world!
If anyone else would like to offer this novena for Chris, here is the prayer;
Prayer To St. Joseph Over 1900 Years Old
O St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your Heavenly power I may offer my Thanksgiving and Homage to the Most Loving of Fathers. O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press him to my name and kiss His fine Head for me, and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray us.

Our family is continuing our prayers for Chris and for all of you. I have been spending time before the Blessed Sacrament and just begging for peace and comfort for Chris.

I've been here with Chris and my family since about a week ago. We're in the final days with Chris. Sometimes, it is so painful, a holy sorrow, but juxtaposed with a mysterious beauty and peace that will not be captured by words. There is stillness and quiet, and tucked between both of those there are treasured moments with Chris. The littlest of moments. What a privilege to be so small and so near within this moment. What a gift to see the face of Christ so clearly in my sweet little brother.
I'm so grateful to all of you as you continue to pray him home.

I was thinking of you in the middle of the night while I was tending to my little baby with chicken pox. I just wanted you to know that we are using our time praying for you and Chris and your family around the clock!
Your post is so sweet in its sorrow. You have touched my heart and I will be thinking of the suffering Heart of Our Lord when I think of Chris...

Dear Jen, Praying with and for you. May the graces you are already experiencing, continue to flow abundantly upon Chris and your entire family. The still, quiet beauty, even in the midst of sorrow, must surely be a small glimpse of Heaven. Offering up a particularly heavy burden for all your sakes.
